Meet the Artist - Carrie

 

 Carrie Owens, born and raised in the Piedmont of North Carolina, is the owner and artist behind Southern Cute Designs. An avid sports junkie, a lover of all things Disney, and a Southern Girl, she originally worked in banking, but later became a stay-at-home Mom. After her only daughter started Kindergarten, she stumbled across hand lettering and painting as a way to pass the time.  When friends showed interest in buying her work, she opened her Etsy shop, and in 2014, Southern Cute Designs was born. 

An “accidental” artist, and business owner, with no formal art training, Carrie is a completely self-educated hand letterer.  She considers the opportunity to create for you the honor of a lifetime.  Each and every piece of art is handcrafted in her home in North Carolina.  Lettered by hand, with just a paint brush and paint, and sent to you with love and sincere appreciation.
